Micronutrients in plant nutrition

Beyond the primary macronutrients — Nitrogen, Phosphorus and Potassium — plants also need smaller amounts of micronutrients such as Boron (B), Zinc (Zn), Iron (Fe), Manganese (Mn) and Copper (Cu). Although required only in trace amounts, these elements play a decisive role in key physiological processes such as enzyme activity, chlorophyll synthesis and the formation of the plant’s reproductive organs. A deficiency in even a single micronutrient can significantly limit yield and production quality, even when the primary NPK nutrition is otherwise adequate.

Dual technology

Dekastim Turbo combines nitrification-inhibitor technology with plant biostimulants in every granule. The inhibitor regulates the pace at which Ammoniacal Nitrogen converts to Nitrate according to the crop’s needs, reducing losses through volatilization and leaching. At the same time, the biostimulants keep Phosphorus, Potassium and micronutrients available in a form the plant can use, preventing their fixation in the soil and activating key metabolic processes.
